Window Gallery in Carlsbad

Two other bids quoted me the same window in the same color for the whole house. These guys walked the outside first, told me the three west openings needed a different finish grade than the rest, and priced it that way. Four years on, the west sashes look like the north ones. That was the whole point.

Called about replacing eleven windows. They looked at them and said six were fine and just needed the glass units swapped and the seals redone. Ended up spending about a third of what I had budgeted. They did the five that genuinely needed replacing and left the rest alone.

The laminated glass made a bigger difference than I expected. The hardwood in the front room had been going pale in a band by the slider and that has stopped. They also explained why they were specifying a silicone edge seal instead of the standard one, which nobody else even mentioned.

They pulled up the actual warranty document and showed me the clause that would have voided the finish coverage on my dark frames because there is no overhang on that wall. Switched the specification, kept the look close enough, and I am not going to get an argument in year six. Straightforward people.
